The future highway of death?

Huh? Wow, a bit alarmist, even exaggerated for a title, right?

Uh, no, not exaggerated at all. I’ve had about forty years of driving experience, a good chunk of it here in France, and the rest in Madagascar.

So I know a bit about what I’m talking about in the north and the south, and about accidents, even if I haven’t been in many (uh… any even?), wow, I’ve seen a lot of them!

Mechanical incidents, substandard infrastructure, overconfident people, those who, on the contrary, make you wonder how they got their license, silly accidents, incomprehensible accidents, pileups, rollovers, dangerous driving, improbable scenarios, and so on.

I’ve seen a lot of them, I tell you. I myself have often acted like a jerk behind the wheel, but always with as much knowledge as possible. I know what I’m driving, I know the road, I know the potential pitfalls, I have some knowledge of sporty driving, I have a pretty sharp sense of anticipation, so, yes, go for it.

But what about all those other drivers? Those with their Vorontsiloza licenses who don’t even know how to keep right on a fast lane?
