China: useful, not beautiful

Huh? Oh yes, it’s hard not to have seen the images of this incredible military parade commemorating China’s victory over Japan 80 years ago in the last few hours.

While China is better known for its economic performance, this show of military strength certainly left no one indifferent.

And of course, all of this leaves one in awe. Performances achieved with difficulty, but based on solid foundations and fundamentals: agriculture and industrial production.

While the West is beginning to get bogged down in the confines of its excessive capitalism, the Chinese model, once again, is not based on nothing: they have the workers, they have the production tools, they have the land, they have the knowledge, in short, they have everything.

Of course, before getting to where they are today, the journey has not been easy. Especially with this dictatorship decried by Westerners, human rights, and all that jazz.

But as the title goes: ny mahasoa fa tsy ny mahafinaritra? You can’t make an omelet without breaking eggs, and only results matter. And the results are rather good today, as evidenced by this incredible military parade.

Unlike Western imperialism, China has quietly and quietly “colonized” the African continent. It has built infrastructure without saying a word, in exchange for the raw materials it seeks.

Ny mahasoa fa tsy ny mahafinaritra: a dictatorship BUT enlightened, one that knew where it was going. An agriculture that has allowed it to establish its food sovereignty, despite its billions of inhabitants. Massive industrialization to create wealth. The education of its population to avoid creating bado and vendrana.

In short, everything is there in the end. And once again, China doesn’t need werawera to demonstrate that it has now become the world’s leading power in almost every field: it simply knows it. And they don’t rest on their laurels; they keep working.

In the automotive industry, we don’t even talk about it anymore. They’ve completely crushed the competition in less than two decades.

When the Tesla boss mocked an obscure brand called BYD in the 2010s… he mocks it much less today. And many other Chinese brands have appeared, no less well-known.

Well, Elman, what admiration, what admiration. Are you going to leave for China then? Uh, no, I’m not going to leave for China because, for one thing, I don’t speak Chinese, I don’t have a Chinese 8 cms, and my culture isn’t Chinese.

But just as the Chinese have been doing for decades in relation to the West, nothing is stopping the latter today from drawing inspiration from the Chinese model and building a truly solid form of capitalism, and not just speculative capitalism driven by the lure of profit. Zao manenganiny 🤣

Meanwhile, today some people don’t even have running water or electricity. No food sovereignty, not a single real factory, infrastructure in tatters, and they boast about a mediocre 8-kilometer departmental road, without a central reservation or emergency lane.

The road is still long, isn’t it? You have the dictatorship. You certainly don’t have the lighting.
